David Iglesias, a Bush appointed U.S. Attorney, wouldn't go quietly into the night.

He was pressured by Senator Pete Domenici and Congresswoman Heather Wilson to influence the 2006 Congressional elections in New Mexico by targeting Democrats. Because Iglesias resisted turning the U.S. Department of Justice into a partisan wing of the RNC, he was fired and replaced with a Bushevik hatchet attorney.

Iglesias was particularly incensed that Gonzales and others claimed he was released for "performance-based reasons," even though he had been highly rated as a prosecutor.

There are few people who will stand up to the Bushevik Stalinist buzzsaw out of fear for their futures. David Iglesias is the rare exception who put his country and his good name first, before "Omerta" loyalty to the Bush crime family.

He acted on behalf of justice -– and the Bush White House gave him the boot for upholding the rule of law.

David Iglesias, for standing up for our Constitution and the integrity of our legal system, you merit this week's BuzzFlash Wings of Justice Award.
