Minimum Wage Earners in the United States

You don't need to be a celebrity advocate to merit the BuzzFlash "Wings of Justice Award.' BuzzFlash readers Kent and Kay Hill of San Diego reminded us of that.

They nominated minimum wage earners for the award ' and wrote this homage to the men and women who work for so little and do so much for America.

"You serve us in restaurants,
you pick our crops,
you wash our cars/trucks/SUVs,
you wash our dishes,
you clean our homes,
you baby sit our children,
you clean our hotel/motel rooms,
you wait on us in fast food restaurants...

... and many other jobs in our society. And you have done this for over 10 years without a federally mandated pay raise during times of inflation and hardship. Thank you!"

Thank you indeed. And to all the minimum wage earners in our nation, we honor you this week for putting up with an administration and congress that won't ensure that you get paid what is owed you for your labor.

You deserve this week's BuzzFlash "Wings of Justice Award."
