Bill Clinton

Bill Clinton may not be the paragon of progressive politics, but he's still the Big Dog to BuzzFlash when it comes to fighting for democracy.

We'll put aside for the moment this reality: the FOX/Chris Wallace historical revisionism was part of a Rovian media diversion from the dismal years of Bush's failures. Indeed, all the brouhaha over Clinton's counterattack on FOX overshadowed the latest news about Bush's abysmal debacle in Iraq.

But given how meek the Democrats have been over six years -- until showing some signs of life recently -- it was an energizing moment to see Clinton expressing outrage at the right wing media. He had had enough of their effort to shift blame for Bush's failed policies and negligent governance.

Attaining justice nowadays requires putting on the boxing gloves -- and the brass knuckles. You can't play by Robert's Rules of Orders when the Bush-Cheney thugs are whacking your knees with a 2 x 4. Bill Clinton knows that. He's been there, done that. They tried to impeach him from office -- and he isn't going to let them impeach his legacy.

There's a lesson to be learned there.

If you want justice and the truth, you're going to have to fight for it.
