Karen Porter

This week, the BuzzFlash Wings of Justice Award goes to a grassroots patriot from Pennsylvania, Karen Porter.

You might think a single mom and practicing attorney might not have time to organize a campaign for peace, but you'd be wrong. Karen Porter saw through the Bush Administration lies and knew that the Iraq War was a done deal, so she got angry and got organized. Thus far, 800 people from the Philadelphia area have joined the Chester County Peace Movement. As leader of the group, she has organized 10 protest bus trips, a weekly peace vigil at the county court house, a monthly film series, and monthly meetings with guest speakers.

While some pro-democracy advocates wring their hands in despair, Karen Porter is leading Pennsylvania patriots in exposing the deceit and incompetence of the Grand Hypocrisy Party. Among those who have joined Karen is Michael Berg, whose son Nick was beheaded by insurgents in Iraq.

Karen Porter is a patient woman. She'll keep leading the Chester County Peace Movement until the rest of America catches up with her and realizes that this administration isn't fighting terrorism; all it's done is open up the gates of Hell.
